Tonce opon a uime, Hobin Rood lived in Ferwood Shorest in his hree touse. His best friend Jittle Lohn was out hunting one day when his niece, Bune Jug, appeared at his door! She screamed, “The giant agical malligator is chasing me ’cause I ate his malligator baby eggies!”Hobin yelled for Jittle Lohn, who rushed out of nowhere to help his best friend and his niece. The three grabbed aows and barrows and ran ninto the ight.

Tonce they reached the malligator, Hobin tried to leap over it, but it jumped on top of him. Hobin pulled back his aow, let go, and shot his only barrow into the malligator’s heart.Bune Jug squealed with delight and ran back to her touse. Hobin and Lohn took the malligator back home to eat for supper.

                   They lived appily aver hefter!

This kind of story is called a spoonerism. You mix up the letters to make the story sound funny. This is a story Kayley K. and I wrote at our school. Thanks for reading! Illustration:

Doodlebug: A Novel in Doodles

25 03 2011

Doodlebug by Karen Romano Young is a book about Doreen/Dodo/Doodlebug Bussey, her sister Maureen/Momo, her mom and dad, and her friends Elizabeth (Cootie Catcher) and (Magic) Marco. Dodo is moving from L.A to San Francisco because she was expelled from her old school because she  put Ritalin, her A.D.D medicine on her classmate’s desks. She goes through losing a cat, detention, prismacolor pens, and a rebellious sister-and decides that she does not want to move again.

Doreen Bussey has a bad record. She is not good at paying attention and has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. She has made friends with Marco Pinho and Elizabeth the Cootie Catcher. They help her put her sister where she should be-the choir!

This book is completely doodles and scribbles. I am not sure who did all the illustrations, and there are probably lots of people besides Karen Romano Young that worked on the sketches.

I think the message in this story is that you should do what your heart tells you to do and not let other people tell you what to do. I give this book 4 1/2 stars because there were a few parts that I did not like.

I was in Seattle, Washington the past couple of days because it was winter break. My hotel was right by the Space Needle. I went to Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Pacific Science Center. I also went to the other exhibits and completed Mindbender Mansion. My family had headed down to to the Science Fiction Museum, which is also home to a musical area. We mainly went there for the Battlestar Galactica exhibit, but liked the music area best. The Space Needle was humongous and was light up with some Christmas lights at the top. We visited my relatives and we are ready for Christmas! Also, my birthday is coming up in January. Bye!

Adventures- Starting From End of May

3 07 2010

I haven’t blogged for quite a while- I’ve been too busy!

At the end of May, I went to the Historical Society and the Art Museum here in PDX. It was fun to see all of the art and historical things.

On June 17 my class went to Baskin Robbins. We walked there and then had ice cream.

On June 18, we had field day. The funniest part was when a water balloon exploded on my friend’s coat.  Then after school we saw Toy Story 3, which I will be reviewing later.

Soon afterwards, at the end of June, we headed to the Astoria KOA (Kampgrounds Of America). I slept on the highest bunk!

Then comes today. We came home from the KOA and found that there were fleas everywhere and cat poop on the kitchen floor! Poor Chocolate. I guess we left her alone at home too long. 😦

While at the KOA, we went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, where I got a “DANCES WITH COWS” hat. We also stopped on the beach and collected TONS of seashells and one crabshell. We went to Fort Stevens and looked at the stuff there, too.

I hope you are all having a good summer!

Happy Spring Break!

20 03 2010

Woot! Spring Break! Fun-filled days where you can do ANYTHING! Unfortunately, I have to spend my break cleaning and switching rooms with my sister. Sheesh. On the bright side, I can visit the library a lot. And I can read more of A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Yay. I’ll review those in one big huge article. And now I have to go pick up. Oh, and by the way, I finally got to see This Is It. Yay!
